Brand Profile

Your Brand Profile is the foundation for everything Asky does. It tells Asky who you are, how you want to sound, and who you compete with, so your tracking, your content, and your alignment checks all reflect your real brand. Changes save automatically as you edit.

Accessing Brand Profile

Go to Knowledge BaseBrand Profile in the sidebar.

Identity

The Identity tab holds the core facts about your brand:

  • Brand name and aliases, the alternative names or spellings AI might use for you
  • Industry and primary audience
  • Domains: your primary website plus any additional domains you own
  • Sitemaps: the sitemaps Asky uses to find your pages, both auto-discovered and ones you add
  • Documentation sources: product or help-doc sites you want Asky to read as extra context

Use the shortest unique form of your brand name, for example “Trade Republic” rather than “traderepublic.com” or “Trade Republic UK.” Add common variations as aliases so every mention is counted correctly.

Descriptions

The Descriptions tab is where you explain what you do, in your own words:

  • A short description for quick reference
  • A detailed description with background, value, and use cases
  • Key features, your main capabilities and differentiators

The clearer these are, the better Asky understands your brand when it generates content and checks how AI describes you.

Voice and Rules

The Voice and Rules tab shapes how Asky writes for you, so generated content sounds on-brand:

  • Tone of voice: choose from a set of presets, such as Expert, Conversational, or Confident, or add your own
  • Heading style and formality: set sentence or title case, and how formal the writing should be
  • Guidance: free-form notes on how Asky should write for you, which you can also generate from your website
  • Writing rules: things to always do and never do, like preferred terms or phrases to avoid

Competitors

The Competitors tab is where you manage the brands you benchmark against in AI search. For each competitor you can:

  • Add it by name and website, or accept the ones Asky suggests over time
  • Classify your relationship as Direct, Indirect, or Partner
  • Add aliases so mentions are matched correctly
  • Turn tracking on or off

Tracked competitors appear throughout Asky, including the Dashboard rankings and your visibility comparisons.

As Asky sees which brands appear alongside yours in AI answers, it suggests new competitors to track. Review and accept the ones that fit.

Facts

The Facts tab is where you state the things you want AI to get right about your brand, such as what you do, who you serve, and how you are priced. Brand Alignment checks AI’s claims against these facts and flags where they drift.
